James Ernest explains the daily challenges of tabletop game design in the "Insights" series. In this video, he talks about creating a new card game from scratch at GobbleCon '24.

GobbleCon is a small annual gathering in San Francisco. This year there were only about 40 people, still enough players for a wonderful weekend of gaming.

James tested many of his new games at this show, including "Amis Amusants," a simple creature-collection card game that started with just a deck and no rules. In this video, James explains the process of creating this game from scratch.
